Although OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of the OnePlus 11, it has not forgotten the software update of its mid-range phone.
This holiday season, the company is rolling out the stable OxygenOS 13 update to OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, after it released a single Open Beta build based on Android 13 for the budget smartphone, according to XDA.
Users Claim that OxygenOS 13 Update is Showing Up for Download
A number of users reported on the OnePlus Community forums that the first stable build of OxygenOS 13 for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite became available in the form of software version C.25.
It measures almost 4.5GB. Moreover, it comes with the Android security patch level of December 2022.
The update makes the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite the first phone in OnePlus's Nord lineup to get the stable Android 13 build.
As of writing, OnePlus is not yet making an official announcement about the rollout of OxygenOS 13, as per Android Police.
However, there are already multiple reports from owners of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite that the stable OxygenOS 13 update is showing up for download.
The stable release of the update comes a month after OnePlus seeded the Android 13 Open Beta for the unit.
Just like the other OnePlus updates, the OxygenOS 13 release for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will be available in a staged manner.
At first, it will only reach a handful of random units. Once OnePlus was able to confirm that the update is stable enough for a wider rollout, it would be available to all users.
According to the Changelog, the latest skin of OnePlus comes with an Aquamorphic design and an upgraded animation engine for smoother effects.
You can also expect performance optimizations and usability improvements. It also includes more markup tools for screenshot editing and a Sidebar Toolbox. Moreover, expect an automatic pixelation of chat screenshots.
Expect also to get new Android 13 goodies such as a new permission model and a more privacy-friendly photo picker. There is also a per-app language picker plus an improved Material You integration.

OxygenOS 13 Comes With OnePlus-Specific Features
You would encounter a lot of changes with the update, including what Google packed into Android 13.
However, there are also OnePlus-specific things like the addition of the Dynamic Computing Engine which improves system speed, stability, battery life, and app experience, as per GSM Arena.
The update also comes with upgrades to HyperBoost GPA 4.0 to stabilize game frame rates as well as balance performance and power consumption.
In addition, there is an improved Always-On Display that can be personalized, an optimized Shelf, and the addition of large folders to the Home Screen.
As of writing, the OxygenOS 13 update for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is only live in India. Since it is being rolled out in stages, it might not be available on your device immediately.
You can expect a wider rollout next week. But according to Android Police, if you can't wait, you can grab the OTA package and manually install it on your device.
