Samsung always offers a surprise during CES. Because of that, the company is always fun to cover at the show.

This year, Samsung is expected to show a 77-inch variant of its QD OLED panel technology as Samsung Display issued a confirmation on the matter, Digital Trends reported.

Will Samsung Unveil a 77-inch QD OLED TV at CES 2023?

What makes Samsung fun to cover is some years it will bring a new version of its massive MicroLED TV, while in some others, it will suddenly unveil a new QLED Mini-LED TV. Either way, the electronics giant always offers viewers something exciting.

CES 2022 was a particularly interesting show. Prior to the actual show, there were so many rumors circulating that Samsung will announce a new QD-OLED TV.

While that didn't end up materializing at CES 2022, the company unveiled the next generation of QLED TVs that included the Samsung QN95B and Samsung QN900B 8K QLED TV.

We got our first glimpse of Samsung Display's QD-OLED panel technology at CES 2022. It struck many of us as mightily impressive, having the best picture quality.

Since then, QD-OLED panels have been released in the market as consumer products. We have seen it in Samsung Electronics' S95B TV, the Sony A95K TV as well as in two Dell Alienware monitors.

Digital Trends' reviewers stated that each of Samsung's products was hailed as best-in-class, with perfect black levels and high color brightness.

Now, the upcoming CES 2023 seems to promise a lot for TV lovers. According to Tom's Guide, we could expect several new QLED series, including the Samsung QN90C, Samsung Q80C, Samsung Q70C, and Samsung Q60C.

If rumors were true, we could also see a Samsung 77-inch QD OLED TV.

Sony is Expected to Showcase New OLED TVs at CES 2023

But Samsung isn't the only one who has the technology to show off during the upcoming CES 2023. Sony is expected to bring a swath of new OLED TVs to the show, too.

In past years, Sony brought the A80 and A90 lineups, which come with the latest X1 processor. But last year, Sony switched to the new XR Cognitive Processor.

The new processor divided up the screen into hundreds of small parts, resulting in more realistic-looking objects as well as better separation between objects in the foreground of the screen and the background.

If Sony will showcase new OLED TVs this year, we can expect that the company will include a new version of the XR Cognitive Processor. Moreover, we can also expect some increase in brightness and color saturation.

In connection to brightness and color saturation, it is highly likely that Sony will also announce some new Mini-LED models at this year's CES event.

In 2022, Sony made its first official venture into Mini-LED technology with the Sony X95K, which is one of Sony's most impressive models of that year. Therefore, a new model in 2023 would make sense.
