CES 2023: Samsung Announces More Sizes for MicoLED Models, Neo QLED Upgrades

Samsung will soon offer larger MicroLED TVs to the public.

The South Korean tech giant announced during CES 2023 that it is broadening its customers' viewing options with the various sizes of its new 2023 MicroLED and OLED TV lineup, offering them a wide range of sizes to choose from.

Samsung has yet to provide these models a price tag for its various MicroLED TV sizes, per Engadget.

Samsung Electronics MicroLED Features And Sizes

Samsung mentioned in its announcement that customers could soon enjoy a wide variety of sizes to choose from in its new 2023 MicroLED and OLED TV lineup. These sizes range from the consumer-friendly 50-inch TV to the whopping 140-inch for home theaters or corporate offices.

To be specific, Samsung's 2023 MicroLED TV lineup offers 50-, 63-, 76-, 89-, 101-, 114- and 140-inch MicroLED models, expanding customers' choice when it comes to the new display technology.

The tech giant mentioned that these sizes are only possible due to their modular nature, as MicroLED is not bound by shape, ratio, and size, allowing customers to get one based on their exact specifications.

Additionally, these MicroLED TVs lack bezels regardless of configuration, which makes for a seamless boundary between the TV's screen and real life.

Furthermore, the MicroLED TVs in Samsung's 2023 lineup have 20-bit black details, according to Sam Mobile. This feature provides customers with better colors and more details in the darker region of a picture frame.

Samsung has yet to release the pricing and availability of its MicroLED TVs.

Samsung OLED TV Features And Sizes

Meanwhile, its OLED lineup will soon be available in 55-, 65-, and 77-inch, with the 77-inch model being its new ultra-large offering.

The OLED TVs in Samsung's new lineup comes with the Quantum Dot technology it developed for its NEO QLEDs and Neural Quantum Processors to better keep their brightness and color representation no matter their size.

Also, the TVs come equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate and all of the company's smart features, including the Samsung Gaming Hub, Samsung's new way to approach gaming.

This Hub is said to deliver "incredible" picture quality and multitasking. expanded partnerships and 4K streaming, allowing gamers to watch multiple types of content simultaneously.

However, for the first time on an OLED TV, Samsung's 2023 MicroLED lineup comes with AMD's FreeSync Premium Pro certification.

This certification guarantees that gamers can enjoy a 144fps frame rate even if the game they're playing dips below the monitor's refresh rate, per Tom's Hardware.

Other Samsung Smart TV Features

Finally, Samsung will also offer its TV Plus on all of its Smart TV lineups, giving customers with the new MicroLED and OLED lineups access to free ad-supported TV and a video-on-demand service that delivers over 1,800 channels globally.

The Samsung TV Plus feature is free to use and doesn't require any downloads, subscriptions, or additional devices, giving customers a hassle-free experience when they wish to enjoy its features.
