It has been announced by Marvel that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be available on Disney+ by February 1st, which continues to honor the late Black Panther actor, Chadwick Boseman who died of cancer at the age of 43.
The Sequel Comes to Small Screens
The sequel started its production in 2021, almost a year after Chadwick Boseman had passed. It was released in early November of 2022. In under just two months, MCU fans and viewers alike can now watch it on Disney+.
For those who haven't seen it or heard of the plot, you shouldn't expect the king of Wakanda to make an appearance. Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, stated that Chadwick Boseman's role will remain unfilled, as mentioned in GameSpot.
Not only will there be no recasts, but the character will also be retired from the Marvel Cinematic Universe altogether out of respect for the late actor. The movie's writer did consider who might inherit the Black Panther title, but Boseman returning through CGI was out of the question.
The movie has seen great success, becoming one of Marvel's highest-grossing films just behind "Spider-Man: No Way Home." Another MCU movie will be hitting the big screens soon. "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania" is set to show in theaters on February 17th.
MCU Movies Ahead
It's not just the "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania" that's gracing the theaters, although it's already interesting enough to see Scott, Hope, Cassie, Hank, and Janet get transported to the Quantum Realm. There are many more Marvel movies you can look forward to this year alone.
On May 5th, Marvel is also releasing "Guardian of the Galaxy Vol. 3." For GOTG fans, this has been a long-awaited release, since the third volume has experienced many delays in the past, most of which was because of issues surrounding James Gunn and his busy schedule.
There's also another Spider-Man animated film, which will be released on the 2nd of June. "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" is a sequel to the 2018 animated movie "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse."
July 28th will also bring "The Marvels" to theaters, which features Brie Larson's Carol Danvers or Captain Marvel. Anyone familiar with the MCU knows that all the movies and shows are connected, but this particular movie is a sequel to an MCU movie and a Disney+ show.
A character in the movie became a hero in Disney+'s "WandaVision," according to ScreenRant. The movie will show Captain Marvel teaming up with Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan.
To get the whole context of the movie, you might want to brush up with "WandaVision" and "Ms. Marvel" to understand the individual characters further. Kamala Khan can be seen in the latter and Monica Rambeau in the former.
You won't have to watch "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" to understand some references that might pop up in the movie. One important tidbit to remember was that the movie showed Monica Rambeau's mother to be the Captain Marvel of Earth-838.
