It is highly unlikely that we'll see the much-anticipated Apple mixed-reality headset this January, according to Apple Insider and Tech Times.
Based on the prediction of analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the debut of the highly-anticipated device might happen at a Spring Media event or the WWDC 2023.
The ongoing delays with the development of the mixed-reality headset have pushed its mass shipment back to the end of the second quarter or into the third quarter of 2023, as per MacRumors.
Kuo Explains the Cause of Apple Mixed-Reality Headset's Delay
In his recent tweet, Kuo talked about the potential launch date of the Apple mixed-reality headset. He noted that the device would be released at a much later date than his initial prediction.
According to him, Apple is facing issues "with mechanical component drop testing and the availability of software development tools." These factors contributed to the delay in the mass production of the device.
Despite the delay, it appears that the debut of the device is still on track for it to get the spotlight of the year. The Cupertino-based tech giant might likely launch it at a media event this spring or during the much-awaited WWDC 2023 this June.
A report from MacRumors notes that Kuo previously predicted that Apple plans to launch its mixed-reality headset this January. But now, the analyst said that it's unlikely to happen given the delay that the company is experiencing.
According to Kuo, "it is increasingly unlikely that Apple will hold a media event for the new device in January."
With this, we may have to wait for several months before we can finally see Apple's mixed-reality headset. We have yet to see whether the much-awaited device is worth the long wait.

Apple Mixed-Reality Headset: What We Know So Far?
Months prior to the launch of Apple's mixed-reality headset, rumors and leaks about it have been circulating online.
According to Digital Trends, the headset was expected to be incredibly lightweight. This is because the battery will be worn around the waist.
It is said to feature a hot-swap design for the battery in order to make the reported one-to-two-hour battery life less annoying.
Being an Apple product, the list of materials that make up the headset is not surprising at all. It may have aluminum, carbon fiber, and glass.
According to rumors, the field of view is 120 degrees. This means that Apple's mixed-reality headset will surpass most VR headsets.
In addition, we can also expect a very high-resolution display with thin optics. Moreover, speakers could be built into the headband.
However, an H2 chip might be included in the headset in order to provide an ultra-low latency connection to Apple's AirPods Pro 2.
Rumors also suggest that iOS apps will be able to run in Apple's mixed-reality headset in a two-dimensional view.
If this is true, this means a user would be able to have instant access to a huge number of apps to provide more value. But developers are said to create apps specifically for the new headset.
