On Monday, Apple shared two new ads for iPhone 14 on its YouTube channel. One of the ads highlighted the new Action Mode for videos, MacRumors reported.
Meanwhile, the other one showcased a feature that was introduced with iOS 16 for every iPhone user, which is the Unsend iMessage.
Apple Introduces Action Mode on iPhone 14
The first video released by Apple was focused on promoting the iPhone 14's Action Mode. This feature in the new flagship of the company uses the ultra-wide lens in order to capture video with incredible stabilization, as per 9to5Mac.
The feature can be enabled in video mode. It allows the device to supercharge stabilization for very intense action, such as running behind a person or recording someone doing his workout.
The Action Mode is available in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models. The feature is not available in previous iPhone generations.
In the ad released by Apple, you will see a mother using Action Mode to take a video of her son in a race. The mother is running alongside him to capture the action.
According to the company, the Action Mode is meant to replicate the stable video. This feature is something that you can typically get using a gimbal. Now, with the iPhone 14, you can attain the same effect with just a smartphone.
Action Mode cannot be used by default. Once in video mode, you have to activate it. To activate it, you just have to open the camera app and switch to video mode. Afterward, tap the running person icon in the top left of the screen.
Once you completed the steps, you are finally in Action Mode. The camera will be automatically set to ultrawide lens. However, you'll have the choice to tap the other options to change the lenses.
Likewise, you can also toggle between 1080 HD and 2.8L resolution options. Just tap the icon in the upper right of the screen.
The ad is the second one featuring Action Mode. Apple first introduced a two-minute video in November of last year.
Apple Adds Unsend iMessage in iOS 16
The second ad released by Apple is dubbed "R.I.P. Leon." It showcased the Unsend iMessage feature, which is part of iOS 16.
The half-minute ad used humor to show how users can avoid embarrassing situations by simply deleting iMessages sent to people.
In the ad, you will see a man pet-sitting a lizard that appears to be dead. He then sends a text message to his friend to let him know that the lizard dies. But all of a sudden, it moves. Before his friend sees the message, he was able to unsend it.
It is worth noting that although Apple is promoting Unsend iMessage in the iPhone 14 ad, the feature is also available for every iPhone model running iOS 16.
You have two minutes to unsend a message. To do it, simply long press on the message. You'll see Undo Send on the drop-down menu. Simply, tap it and your message will disappear immediately. On the iMessage screen, there'll be a notification "You unsent a message."
