The PlayStation 5 will soon receive a new update from Sony that will include a number of improvements that users have long been waiting for.
Instead of manually connecting their DualSense controllers to the console initially, players will now have a new method for updating them wirelessly.
Sony Has Announced The Exciting Changes On PlayStation's Blog
The DualSense wireless controllers from Sony can now be updated without being connected to the console, according to a post on the PlyStation site.
Players can still choose to enhance their controller's software using a USB cable if they choose, and Sony advises doing so if they experience issues doing so wirelessly.
Unfortunately, the PlayStation 5 beta program is the only way for users to access this upgrade, according to a report by Game Spot.
Players can register for the program on the PlayStation website, but all PS5 users should soon receive the improvements.
This update is currently accessible in the US, Canada, Japan, the UK, Germany, and France, as was previously announced.
Users of the PS5 now have the ability to connect their Discord accounts to their consoles, enabling them to easily speak with other gamers across numerous platforms.

Additionally, PlayStation details that the new update now allows Game Capture using Voice Command for players in the US and the UK.
The company notes how users can make use of the Voice COmmand to save video clips of their gameplay as well by following these simple steps:
Say "Hey PlayStation, capture that!" to save a video clip of your recent gameplay. The default duration saved is based on your settings.
You can also save a specific duration of your gameplay, from 15 seconds to 60 minutes. For example, to save 5 minutes, say "Hey PlayStation, capture the last 5 minutes".
Say "Hey PlayStation, start recording" to manually start a new gameplay recording. You can then say "Hey PlayStation, stop recording" to end the recording and save the video clip.
Once this PS5 update exits beta, consumers will not know when it will be released to the public, but typically there is approximately a month between the beta and general release of the final firmware.
