Verizon just lowered the price of the HTC One to $149.99, but a new deal from Amazon is offering the same smartphone for $79.99.
The HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 are considered to be the best Android smartphones on the market. Both handsets were chosen by Google to be sold through its Google Play Store with a stock Android experience. The handsets do a great job in the spec department, with both offering large beautiful 1080p Full HD displays and powerful quad-core processors. If there's one area where the flagship smartphones differ, it's in their build quality. That difference is one of the reasons the HTC One is considered to be one of the best smartphones to be released in 2013.
HTC decided to put its main focus on design when building the HTC One. It took a page out of Apple's playbook by building the HTC One with an anodized aluminum unibody case that is both elegant and durable. HTC also loaded the handset up with high-end specs and what many consider to be the best sounding audio on any smartphone, thanks to HTC's Boom Sound front-facing dual stereo speakers.
You can now pick up the Verizon HTC One from Amazon for a significant discount compared to what Verizon is charging for the smartphone online and in its retail stores.
The Verizon HTC One features an anodized aluminum unibody enclosure and sports a 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 Full HD (1080p) display that is also scratch-resistant. The handset is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and HTC Sense 5.0 with BlinkFeed. It includes 32GB of internal storage and has 2GB of RAM.
Its camera capabilities include an HTC UltraPixel rear camera with HTC Zoe support and dedicated HTC ImageChip, 88 wide-angle lens with HDR capability, as well as 1080p video recording on both its front and rear cameras. The HTC One is also the first smartphone to boast dual front-facing stereo speakers with HTC BoomSound, which also includes built-in amplifiers with Beats Audio. In terms of wireless connectivity, the HTC One features a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and GPS. The handset also comes with an infrared universal remote control with program guide and a 2,300mAh battery.
