A new image of the white Nexus 5 has leaked and the 5-inch smartphone is expected to be released on Nov.1 through the Google Play Store.
There have been many rumored launch dates for Google's next-generation Nexus smartphone, the Nexus 5. The last expected date was Oct. 31, but now a very reliable tipster is showing the world the Nexus 5 in white and also reporting that the smartphone will officially launch on Nov. 1.
Evleaks posted the above image on Twitter, giving the world a good look at Google's unannounced Nexus 5. The image matches previous leaks that claimed the handset will have a large 5-inch 1080p Full HD display on its front. The white Nexus 5 will have a black front and a white colored soft grip back. We also see the expected high-end 8-megapixel rear camera.
The image also confirms the Nexus 5 is running a new version of Android, Android 4.4 KitKat. The tipster also posted a Nov. 1 release date. Google has not even announced an event yet, but this source usually provides concrete information.
The Nexus 5 is expected to feature a 5-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 442 pixels per inch (ppi) and be the first device to launch with Android 4.4 KitKat. It is expected to be powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM. The handset will include an 8-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. The smartphone's wireless capabilities are expected to include a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC, and GPS. The Nexus 5 will be offered in 16GB and 32GB internal storage variants and use a 2,300mAh battery.
