Microsoft might have something special for Diablo fans.
A Twitter user recently leaked some important information about a Diablo 4-themed Xbox Series X that does not come bundled with the upcoming video game from Blizzard Entertainment.
Diablo 4 is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series S and X, and the PC on June 6, per Pocket Lint and PCGamesN.
Diablo 4-Themed Xbox Series X Details
Twitter user billbil-kun revealed in their tweet that Microsoft would release a new Xbox Series X Diablo 4 edition on the same day the game comes out for gamers worldwide.
Unfortunately, billbil-kun doesn't have an idea of what it could look like, but he did mention the Diablo 4-themed console won't be bundled with the game it was designed on - or at least, that's what they meant when they said that the console doesn't have the word "bundle" in its reference.
For those aware, a gaming console bundle usually comes with the game being offered with the bundle; Sony's God of War Ragnarok PlayStation 5 bundle comes with either a physical or a voucher for the digital copy of God of War Ragnarok. These gaming console bundles are normally more expensive than buying only the console in said bundle, though sales tend to drop their value to a more affordable level.
The tweet also reveals that Microsoft doesn't have a definite date when it will be revealing the Diablo 4-themed Xbox Series X, the company plans to place a $599.99 price tag on the console.
Gamers' Expectations For The Console
If billbil-kin's information is true, then Xbox gamers who want such a console could buy it without worrying about the quality and price. According to Gameranx, many gamers are more willing to buy games than gaming consoles due to the economic recession, but if they do want a gaming console, they more often buy a console and their games separately than get a bundle.
Apparently, many gamers believe that the items being offered in the bundle, including the console itself, are of a lower quality than those sold separately. With many console bundles being more expensive than buying a console separately, most gamers avoid bundles entirely due to these reasons.
Aside from the price and not being a part of a bundle, Diablo fans will also want to know what a Diablo 4-themed Xbox Series X would look like. It could appear like a console straight out of the Burning Hells or a console that features a design that represents the two sides of the Eternal Conflict and the primordial parents of humanity itself: The High Heavens and the Burning Hells, and the angel Inarius and the succubus demon Lilith.
Regardless, the console's alleged existence and release coincides with the news that Diablo 4 ended its open beta that featured all the game's five playable classes, per Insider Gaming. If nothing else, the rumors of a Diablo 4-themed Xbox Series X are sure to generate quite the buzz for the latest entry of the popular RPG series.
