Are you the type of sports fan who can't get enough of live-action, regardless of what you are watching? Or perhaps your addiction is more focused, and it's a specific league you want to devour 24/7?
The good news is, in 2023, there is more sport on TV than ever before, and you can access just about anything you wish; the bad news is you need to be very methodical in your approach to signing up with relevant streaming services as you don't want to accidentally subscribe to the wrong network and miss out on all the fun.
There are so many live events going on at any one time it can be hard to know what you can access with your current provider or, indeed, what is available with any new options that you haven't yet tried.
This is obviously easier if you are focused solely on one league, such as NBA, NFL, or MLB, where the coverage is spread across many services, but if you happen to like diving into a variety of sports, you can sometimes find yourself desperately scanning through your channel with your fingers crossed, hoping you get lucky.
To aid you in your quest for the best sports streaming services, we've outlined the benefits of seven particular options, one of which is sure to be to your taste.
Sling TV
With Sling TV, you get access to a lot of sports coverage, a hell of a lot, but it's not inexpensive, and there are different packages to select from, with Orange and Blue offering different schedules.
Here you'll get access to NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL as well as a decent amount of top-level soccer, including, most importantly, if you are into the big European leagues, the Premier League.
There is no free trial period, though, but you can cancel whenever you wish, so why not give it a try?
ESPN+
Arguably it doesn't get much better than ESPN+ in terms of the sheer weight of live-streamed sporting action, and there is a lot more on offer also. We'd suggest you check out these in-depth ESPN+ reviews to find out what they have to offer in-depth.
Among the live events are over 150 MLB games live, college basketball and football, and European soccer action from La Liga and the Bundesliga. This service has great variety and is less expensive than some other options, but it is important to remember you don't get ESPN as part of ESPN+; in other words, it's an entirely different additional service.
YouTube TV
These guys give you access to just about everything you could possibly want in the world of sports, but it's not cheap. If you are ready to splash out $64.99 a month, you can access a range of channels, including TBS, ESPN, TNT, MLB Network, and NBA TV. Basically, at its highest rate, you can access more than 85 live channels of sport.
The only downside, if you are a fan of ice hockey, is the absence of the NHL Network, but aside from that, you are golden. Also, you have unlimited storage space for those shows and games you want to save for later.
FuboTV
This streaming service is excellent for international sports fans and offers over 130 channels of sports. You also have access to a seven-day free trial, which we are pretty sure will lead you to realize you can't live without it!
For soccer fans, you get a great deal of action, including Real Madrid TV; it's also excellent for NASCAR action but not so good for NBA fans, with no out-of-market games available.
Again, this service isn't inexpensive, and it's for fans who really will pay whatever it takes to get their fill of sporting action.
Peacock
If you are not the kind of sports fan to spend big on a streaming service, then Peacock may be for you. As well as accessing a great deal of non-sporting action, you can get access to Sunday Night Football, Premier League soccer as well as Olympic action (relevant every four years), WWE, and IndyCar racing, and it costs just $4.99 a month, which is a fraction of the cost of some services we've mentioned already.
DAZN
For fight fans, DAZN is the answer to your streaming needs. You get access to exclusive fights, loads of MMA and boxing content, plenty of original programming, and no additional PPV fees, which is great if you regularly already spend big on these as and when relevant.
It costs just $19.99 a month for those of you who now spend on one or two PPV fights a month; the deal is well worth your investment.
Paramount Plus
This service is ideal for those old-school sports fans who are big on NFL and PGA Tour golf, both of which are very well covered here. There's also the possibility to dive deep into an on-demand library and a decent smattering of international soccer to enjoy.
The cost is relatively low, $9.99 a month for the ad-free option and $4.99 for the option with ads; it's also a service that comes baked in if you want to access it as an add-on with your Amazon Prime Video subscription.
These are just a handful of the many options available for sports fans, and the variety of choices continues to grow. One solid bit of advice we'd impart to you is that you needn't hang around with a service that isn't fulfilling your needs.
The moment you feel a streaming service isn't giving you what you demand, cancel your subscription and move on until you hit the sweet spot.
