AT&T has announced it is now taking pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 1520. The phablet will cost $199.99 with a new 2-year contract and will be delivered on Nov. 22.
Windows Phone fans will be getting their first phablet with the arrival of the Nokia Lumia 1520. The smartphone comes packed with high-end features and specs, including a large 6-inch Full HD 1080p display, a powerful 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and a 20-megapixel PureView camera, just to name a few.
Nokia has partnered with AT&T to be the exclusive carrier of the Lumia 1520. AT&T has announced that it is now taking pre-orders for the phablet, offering the smartphone for $199.99 when signing a new 2-year contract, with deliveries set to start on Nov. 22. Customers who purchase the Lumia 1520 will also receive a $20 credit to spend in the Windows Phone Store on apps or games. AT&T is charging $584.99 to buy the Lumia 1520 with no contract.
The AT&T Nokia Lumia 1520 features a 6-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD 1080P ClearBlack display that is also readable in the sunlight and can be used with gloves. The smartphone uses a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM to provide a fluid user experience. The Lumia 1520 includes 16GB of internal storage and users will be able to increase the device's storage through its expansion slot that will support up to 32GB microSD cards.
Its camera capabilities will include a high-end 20-megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss Optics (currently found on the Lumia 1020), optical image stabilization (OIS), as well as enhanced settings and imaging features. It also comes with Microsoft Office, Nokia Music, Camera, and more built-in. The Lumia 1520 supports wireless charging with the purchase of a wireless charging shell and Nokia has packed in a large non-removable 3,400 mAh battery.
