Summer Game Fest Partner List Details

The official Summer Game Fest Twitter page mentioned that gamers worldwide could look forward to updates from more than 40 game-developing and publishing partners globally.

Along with this announcement is a picture that shows the logos of the 43 partners confirmed to attend and give updates about their games during the event. Surprisingly, even some big-shot companies in the gaming industry are also present, though it is probable they're attending to introduce and update gamers about the latest gaming accessories and devices.

These partners include Activision; Amazon Games; Annapurna Interactive; Bandai Namco; Behavior Interactive; Capcom; CD Projekt Red; Devolver Digital; Digital Extremes; Disney; and EA.

Epic Games; Focus Entertainment; Gearbox Publishing; Grinding Gear Games; HoYoverse; Kabam; Larian Studios; Level Infinite; Magic: The Gathering; Neowiz; Netflix; Nexon; Niantic Labs; and North Beach Games are also in attendance.

Paradox Interactive; Pearl Abyss; Phoenix Labs; Plaion; PlayStation; Pocket Pair; Razer; Samsung Gaming Hub; Second Dinner; Sega; Smilegate Entertainment; Square Enix; Steam; Techland; Tribeca Festival; Ubisoft; Warner Bros. Games; and Xbox will also present updates about their games.

With the fall of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) due to lack of interest, having a similar event fill the vacuum left behind with such a list of attending game developers and publishers could make the event worth people's time, per Gameranx.

Despite this list of partners, the question regarding what kind of impact the Summer Games Fest would leave hangs in the air, and the answer remains to be seen until people attend and talk about it. After all, game developers and publishers have been holding their own E3-like events since its collapse.

Regardless, the list of attending developers and publishers could mean updates for their next games - Capcom, Square Enix, and PlayStation could say something about their respective fans' much-awaited follow-ups to their games, like Resident Evil 9, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, and The Last of Us' multiplayer game, per Game Rant.

Whether the Summer Games Fest would generate enough attention and interest to make an E3 2024 or a future iteration of the event possible is still on the table, albeit unclear.
