Sprint HTC One Max launches on Nov. 15 for $249.99

Sprint has announced that it will begin offering the 5.9-inch HTC One Max on Nov. 15 for $249.99 when signing a new 2-year contract.

Samsung created the phablet category of smartphones with the original Galaxy Note in 2011. Its smartphone rivals are now catching up, with even Apple rumored to be entering the market next year and both Nokia and HTC launching their first phablets just in time for this holiday season. Consumers are going to have some choices when shopping for a new phablet.

Sprint has announced it will be the first U.S. carrier to offer the HTC One Max to its customers. The HTC One Max takes everything people love about the HTC One and amplifies it by using a gorgeous 5.9-inch 1080p Full HD display, 1.7Ghz quad-core processor, and an updated HTC Sense 5.5, all wrapped inside the familiar anodized aluminum unibody case that made the HTC One a hit with consumers.

HTC has also included dual-frontal speakers with HTC BoomSound, which provides excellent sound quality. The phablet also comes with security in mind, as it employs a fingerprint scanner located on the back of the smartphone. The One Max also ships with the largest battery HTC has ever used and will provide enough power for even the most demanding user.

The HTC One Max features a 5.9-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD display, runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and uses a new version of HTC Sense 5.5. HTC has opted to use a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with 2GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly. The device will include 32GB of internal storage and users will be able to add more memory through the phablet's microSD expansion slot and 50GB of free Google Drive space HTC is including.

The handset also features an HTC UltraPixel rear camera that can record Full HD video and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. Its wireless connectivity options include 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE (low energy), GPS, and NFC. HTC ships the One Max with a non-removable 3,300 mAh battery.

Sprint will begin taking orders for the HTC One Max on Nov. 15 online and in retail stores. The carrier is charging $249.99 when signing a new 2-year contract. For now, the carrier is allowing interested customers to pre-register their interest.
