It can be charged via the included solar panel, or it can be plugged into a USB charger using a standard USB cable. I find that it doesn't need to be charged very often. Battery usage depends on the amount of motion detected and the length of video captured. As long as I have an available wifi signal, this will allow me to install a camera on my property. I use a mesh network with multiple access points so I can cover a wide area outdoors of my home very well. Not having to power this camera is a definite plus!
Color Night Vision

Video Recording

The motion detection video does not get pushed to the app/phone, only a screenshot of the recorded video gets pushed to the app. To view the recorded video, you will have to click on the arrow => on the left side of the image. It takes pretty long to pull the video from the SD card to the app for review.
