Google debuted the new feature of their AI chatbot, Bard.
The company has confirmed that Bard is now equipped with text-to-speech in 40 languages such as Hindi, Spanish, and US English.
"Sometimes hearing something aloud helps you bring an idea to life in new ways beyond reading it. Listen to responses and see what it helps you imagine and create!" Google wrote in Bard's website.
Google Bard Opens in European Union
Aside from new features, Google also expanded the accessibility of Bard in 27 countries in the European Union (EU) and Brazil.
According to Google, the expansion was made to set Bard as a global aid in exploring possibilities.
In an interview with The Verge, Google spokesperson Jennifer Rodstrom revealed that the EU expansion is a "notable milestone" as Bard's launch to EU was delayed due to privacy concerns.
Google Bard's Additional Updates
Aside from reading of responses and new availability sites, Google also announced other updates to Bard. For instance, users are now able to upload images as part of the conversation with Bard using Google Lens.
In addition, users can also pin conversations, rename, and have multiple conversations going at once. Shareable links are now available as well so that users can share part or all of their Bard chat with others.
Bard is now also able to export Python code to Replit, in addition to Google Colab in order to streamline workflow and make programming task more efficient.
