2 Stardew Valley Hacks You Can Exploit to Get Money Fast

Stardew Valley is one of the most popular sandbox games out there despite being released back in 2016. It gives players the kind of serenity and laidback gameplay they need after a grueling day or a difficult and frustrating open-world game.

Early on, it will be hard to earn money especially since you'll be starting from nothing, but there are a couple of glitches within the game that you can take advantage of. Some players think ConcernedApe didn't fix them on purpose so players can use them, so you might as well.

Codenamed Farm Animals

This particular hack will probably be the first one you could try out. First things first, you need to buy a coop or a barn from Robin in the Carpenter Shop. You will need one if you will purchase farm animals, which is the first step to this exploit.

Once you have a coop or barn, you can go ahead and buy farm animals from Marnie on her ranch. It's located south of the map near Leah's house. Every time you buy an animal, you'll have to name them, which is where you can exploit a glitch.

Instead of giving them cute names, type in item codes instead. A Prismatic Shard's item code is 74, while an Iridium Bar's is 337. You'll have to use brackets with the numbers in between them for it to work. The fun part is that you can input more than one item code.

The best item to spawn is the Tiger Slime Egg since you can sell each for 8,000g. Its item code is 857. For example, if you want to spawn an Iridium Bar, a Prismatic Shard, and a Tiger Slime Egg, just name the animal "[337][74][857]."

You can do this several times as long as you don't give your farm animals the same name. You can switch up the sequence of the item IDs or you can spawn other things. If you run out of space in your coop or barn, just sell the animals and start over again.

The Yellow Couch Hack

The Yellow Couch glitch allows players to use the item to create cloth using the loom they can craft. First off, you'll need to buy the Furniture Catalogue from Robin in the Carpenter Shop. It's quite expensive as it will cost you 200,000g, but it's worth it.

You can use this to spruce up your place as well. Since you'll have access to most of the furniture that Stardew Valley offers. You can decorate your entire house however you want and as many times as you wish.

By buying the catalogue, you won't have to wait for the Yellow Couch to show up in her shop. Having the catalogue will also provide you with unlimited supplies and it will cost you nothing. Now all you have to do is craft multiple looms and get to work.

Bonus: The Green Wallpaper Glitch

You won't have to buy the Catalogue from Pierre's shop for this, but it's cheaper compared to the one from Robin's at just 30,000g. It will give you access to all the floors and wallpapers Pierre can offer, which comes in handy when you constantly redecorate.

One item on the list, the Green Wallpaper, will help you with certain quests where you require a Prismatic Shard. You can do the item code glitch with the animals to get Prismatic Shards, but that can get tiring really fast and this is an easier way.

The game thinks that the Green Wallpaper is a Prismatic Shard, which means that you can give it as a gift to villagers since it's a universally loved gift (except for Haley), or you can substitute it for bundles since you will need one later on in the game.
