Samsung introduced its Galaxy Z Flip 5 which features a bigger screen, a new hinge, and bigger storage, during the Samsung Unpacked 2023 event.
With its latest upgrades, Samsung assured that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is step towards the company's commitment to minimize the impact on the environment.
"Samsung Electronics is on a journey to open more possibilities for people and the planet, and essential to this journey is creating a human-centric mobile experience with more recycled materials, without compromise," Samsung wrote on a blog post.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Features
The new Z Flip boasted a 3.4-inch cover screen, making it bigger than its predecessor with only 1.9-inch front display.
Additionally, the most notable change is the new hinge design which allows the phone to close totally flat compared to the previous version where it has a noticeable gap.
Z Flip 5 works using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset made compatible for Samsung and 256GB of storage as its base model.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Availability
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 opened its preorders last July 26 and is expected to arrive in August 11 with new colors such as mint, cream, graphite, and lavender.
Other colors such as gray, blue, green, and yellow will be available exclusively through Samsung's website.
The Z Flip 5 will start its retail price with $999.
