AMD is set to bring its first-ever 3D V-Cache CPU with Ryzen 9 7945HX3D, this August 22.
The Ryzen 9 is set to power Asus new 17-inch gaming laptop, ROG Strix Scar 17 X3D.
AMD claims that the Ryzen 9 will be the world's fastest laptop gaming processor ever built, set to break the current 7945HX speed.
What's Inside Ryzen 9?
The chip is a 16-core, 32-thread processor with boost clock up to 5.4 Ghz. In addition, it also includes a 144MB of cache for 3D V-Cache and TDP of at least 55W.
Similar to the Dragon Range HX-series, the Ryzen 9 chip is made of a standard CPU for a desktop crammed into a laptop chassis.
With the 3D V-Cache, AMD promises more than 23% increase in performance for 40W TDP and 11% increase in performance for 70W TDP.
