The iPhone 15 Pro lineup is set for some makeover as reported in Bloomberg.
According to the report, the new lineup is expected to be surrounded of titanium frames, thinner bezels, customizable button, and USB-C port.
With all these possible changes, Forbes reported that Apple might launch its new products in October. Following this timeline, the company will be facing weeks of delay compared to its usual product launch every September.
iPhone 15 in Titanium Frame
Apple is bound ditch its shiny stainless-steel edges with titanium.
Replacing the usual shiny edges will result to stronger, lighter, and more premium look to the iPhone 15 pro models. The company has been testing titanium on its recent Apple watches before launching it to their biggest line.
However, the new lineup will retain the frosted glass at the back of the phone but with a less sharp edges.
Apple's Dream of Thinner Bezels and More
Since 2017, Apple has been continuously experimenting on how to make its bezels thinner than its previous devices.
According to the report, Pro models will be utilizing a low-injection over-molding, or LIPO, that will shrink the border size to 1.5 millimeters. Currently, iPhones are using 2.2 millimeters.
In addition, the company will be replacing the current lightning connector to USB-C to ensure faster data transfer. Touch-sensitive buttons will also be added to the new models as an effort to reduce the number of breakable components on a device.
