The second generation of Sonos portable speaker, Sonos Move 2, will be released by the end of September.
The Sonos Move 2 will feature improved audio performance, battery life and connectivity. Moreover, a new charging base station is also added.
Sonos Move 2 Upgrades
The new generation speaker will be in a true stereo playback as it is now equipped with dual angle tweeters; whereas the previous Move only had one. Automatic Trueplay will still optimize the speaker's sound whenever you change its position.
Sonos Move 2 can now deliver a continuous playback of up to 24 hours. While the battery is still replaceable, Move 2 is intended to use less energy during idle time. In addition, the speaker is now able to play Bluetooth audio across other Sonos system that you have at home.
Lastly, the wireless charging base station now offers a detachable power adapter. Move 2 also supports line-in audio over USB-C port that can be used to charge mobile devices.
Sonos Move 2 Availability
The Move 2 will be available in three colors such as black, white, and olive. The price is rumored to be at $449, similar to the current price of the first generation Move.
With weeks ahead before its official launch, Sonos is expect to retain the good qualities of the original Move like its water resistance, drop resistance, and touch controls.
