The Zuck v. Musk fight may not happen anytime soon.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently posted that anything X.com CEO Elon Musk says about the fight is not official until Zuckerberg says so, as the latter hasn't confirmed his readiness to fight in the octagon.
Musk first challenged Zuckerberg into a "cage match" in June, though he has yet to show he was prepared to take on this fight.
Zuck v. Musk Fight Details Discrepancy
Zuckerberg mentioned in a Threads post that he has been ready to fight since the day Musk challenged him. However, as Musk has yet to agree on an actual date for when the fight will happen, the decision to fix one falls on him.
He then advises people to assume that anything Musk says about the fight has not been agreed on by himself and Musk. Zuckerberg adds that he wants to share details on his next fight when he's ready and that he's "not holding [his breath]" for Musk.
Zuckerberg's statement about his fight with Musk seems to be stems from Musk's recent X.com post saying that everything in the camera frame will be Ancient Rome. He also said that he already spoke with the Italian Prime Minister and Minister of Culture regarding the fight; he claims they agreed on an "epic location."
"Everything done will pay respect to the past and present of Italy," the X.com owner posted.

Additionally, Musk said his fight with Zuckerberg will be livestreamed on X.com and Meta since it will be managed by the foundations Musk and Zuckerberg founded.
However, there is reason to believe that Musk could be stalling for time to fight Zuckerberg. He previously posted that the exact fight date is still in flux due to medical problems on his end - he needs to get an MRI of his neck and upper back the following day.
Musk added he may require surgery before the fight can happen, which he underwent on the same day, per The Verge. He may need a few months to recover from the surgery before he can fight if he does at all.
When Is The Fight?
As previously mentioned, the date for the Zuck v. Musk fight is still in flux and has yet to be decided by both parties. However, based on Musk's activity, the fight could happen in a few months or longer, if it happens at all.
Regardless, Zuckerberg has yet to break his consistent record of saying he's ready to fight Musk and is only waiting for a date to show Musk his mettle.
All of the proceeds that the fight will make will go to a charity for veterans, Musk previously revealed. However, finding a solution to how the fight will be livestreamed isn't as cut and dry.
Musk previously said that the fight would be livestreamed on X.com, but Zuckerberg opposed it, saying they should use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity.
