Google Keep Text Formatting
The new Keep features are actually considered as one of the basic features of a notes app. However, it has been missing from the app ever since its launch in 2013. Despite of the lack of some basic features, Google Keep maintained its simple design making it the perfect default notes app for some people.
For the new update, Keep users can now italicize, bold, and transform their texts within their notes. While it is still not available for most of the people, some were lucky to spot the update early on.
As we all know, Google has a thing of cutting out apps that might not seem beneficial anymore as part of cost-cutting. Hence, some have been questioning if Keep will be one of those discarded Google apps. Good thing is, Google might be able to save it for a few more years given that they are still making efforts to improve the app even after its 10th year.
Google Keep Other Features
The new formatting feature will join the gradually roll out of Keep's new home screen widget, which allows user to open multiple Keep windows at the same time. In addition, a version history is also slowly getting out of the box which will let users see any changes they have made from their notes.
While there are a lot of competition within the note-taking apps that we can use, no one can deny that Google managed to maintain Keep's simplicity and efficiency through its 10 years. With the new features, surely users will be more enticed to use the app more than before.
