16GB Google Nexus 7 (2013) on sale for $179.99

Office Depot is currently offering the 16GB Nexus 7 (2013) for $179.99 instead of its normal price of $229.99 through Dec. 21.

If you're in the market for a new tablet or have been thinking about trying out Google's latest Nexus 7, Office Depot is offering the slate with a considerable discount as part of its holiday sale.

The 16GB Nexus 7 (2013) is normally priced at $229.99 but for a limited time the retailer has cut the price and is offering it for $179.99 until Dec. 21.

Since you're buying a Nexus branded device, you're guaranteed to receive the latest version of Android whenever Google releases it. The company recently released Android 4.4.2, which can be downloaded via an over the air (OTA) update.

The tablet comes packed with high-end specs such as a 7-inch 1080p Full HD display and a powerful quad-core processor. It ships with 16GB of internal storage, 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. Its wireless connectivity options consist of dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. The tablet also includes a microUSB port and a Slimport for 1080p HDMI output.
