Apple's iPhone 15 Pro models could offer less for a higher price.
Analysts recently revealed that Apple's iPhone 15 Pro models will still start with 128GB like its predecessors, though customers will need to pay more if they wish to get such storage space.
Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 15 at its Sept. 12 press event, along with its iOS 17 and new Apple Watch Series 9 model.
Less For More
Apple's offered its iPhone 14 Pro models to customers with a new twist. According to a MacRumors report, the tech giant offered its iPhone 14 Prop models with a new storage space lineup for customers to choose from.
Instead of starting its storage space offering for its iPhone 14 Pro models at the usual 64GB, Apple started with 128GB, followed by its 256GB, 512GB, and new 1TB storage space option. Despite this storage space increase, Apple didn't increase the asking price for its iPhone 14 Pro models.
However, things have changed for the company for its iPhone 15 Pro models. According to a 9to5Mac report, analysts at TrendForce revealed Apple will allegedly increase its asking price for its iPhone 15 Pro models while retaining the same storage space offerings it gave in the past.
TrendForce's analysts said that Apple will increase the price of its iPhone 15 Pro models by $100 more than its iPhone 14 Pro predecessors As such, the iPhone 15 Pro Max's price will start at $1199 instead of the iPhone 14 Pro Max's $1099.
Interestingly, the iPhone 15 Pro will still start at $999 like its iPhone 14 Pro counterpart. The price increase Apple enacted for its iPhone 15 lineup was supposed to offset a storage space increase for the phones under the lineup.
However, the tech giant's alleged plan would mean that iPhone 15 Pro models would pay more for less. Whether Apple will give customers the storage space increase it previously promised with the iPhone 15 lineup remains to be seen.
The standard iPhone 15 models, the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15, may get a $50 price increase from its predecessors' original price. As such, the iPhone 15 Plus could get a $949 and $849 price tag, respectively.
Despite these reports, it's best to wait for Apple's Sept. 12 press event to know more about the iPhone 15' lineup's official pricing and the final storage space it will bring.
What To Expect With The iPhone 15
The iPhone 15, which experts believe will launch on Sept. 22, could come with Apple's new iOS 17, though some features could be missing on launch day if rumors are to be believed. Regardless, the device will certainly feature USB-C ports instead of Apple's proprietary Lightning ports.
Additionally, the lineup may come equipped with Apple's A17 bionic chip that could give a longer battery life and a better performance than its predecessor. It will also feature a titanium frame, taptic buttons, and increased RAM.
