New Donkey Kong Game Might Be Coming Soon, Nintendo Leaker Gives Hint

A prominent leaker for Nintendo, Pyoro, released a hint on the possibility of an upcoming Donkey Kong game for the September Nintendo Direct.

Pyoro's Accurate Reputation

Pyoro is known for being accurate on his hints and has rarely, if never, been wrong with his leaked information. Previously he hinted the Super Mario RPG remake and the new 2D Mario platformer prior to Nintendo's announcement. He also leaked some hints on Everybody 1-2 Switch and Sonic Superstars.

This time, the leaker is set on the future Nintendo Direct and Donkey Kong. Rumor has it that Nintendo will be announcing a new Donkey Kong game at the September Nintendo Direct. As of writing, there are still no confirmation on when the event will be.

In a series of posts on X, Pyoro posted a gif and a photo still from the "The Super Mario Bros. Movie." If you have seen the movie, the scene was a cut from Donkey Kong's fight against Mario, hinting a possibility of Mario vs. Donkey Kong game.

Pyoro Drops More Hints

Aside from the still cut, Pyoro also confirmed that the game will include minis which are the collectible toys from the mini subseries. With Pyoro's confirmation, it can be possible that fans will see another puzzle platformer between the two Nintendo characters.

On the other hand, Pyoro also teased some news for F-ZERO. Rumor has it that there is a possibility of remaking the F-ZERO GX game for a Nintendo Switch version. Meanwhile, other F-ZERO titles are already available through Nintendo Switch Online.

Nintendo fans still awaits the confirmation from the company. Regardless of the hints, fans will surely have more to look forward whenever the Nintendo Direct will be. Hopefully, soon.
