Gamers can soon get Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth in one purchase.
Square Enix recently announced that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available for pre-order, with the company also offering a great deal for gamers who haven't played Final Fantasy VII Ramek Intergrade.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is set for release on Feb. 29, 2024, physically and digitally.
Two Games, One Price
Square Enix's announcement confirms much of the rumors about its pre-order deals for the second installment of the Final Fantasy VII remake project, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. However, they didn't mention that the company will offer gamers the chance to buy Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and its prequel, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, in one bundle deal.
According to the company, it is offering a Final Fantasy VII Remake & Rebirth Twin pack, which includes Rebirth and the digital full-game download of Remake Intergrade, which will be available to play as soon as interested gamers pre-order the twin pack.
This twin pack allows gamers who haven't played the first game to get and play it for themselves before jumping into the second one. However, this twin pack is only for Rebirth's digital version - interested gamers must have sufficient storage space to accommodate the game.
Gamers who wish to have both games but have all of the things Rebirth's Digital Deluxe Edition comes with can pre-order the Twin Pack's Digital Deluxe version. However, the twin packs demand much from gamers' wallets - the standard digital twin pack has a $100 price tag, while its digital deluxe counterpart comes with a $120 price tag.
As the Twin Packs' name implies, there is no physical equivalent of these deals.
Other Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Pre-order Deals
As usual, Square Enix is offering gamers the choice of pre-ordering Rebirth's physical and digital versions, with each offering bonuses as an incentive for those who do. According to the company, the game's standard edition will cost $70, while its Deluxe Edition will cost $90 and $100 for its digital and physical releases, respectively.
Standard edition pre-orders come with some freebies - the physical version comes in two discs, a reversible cover, and the digital Midgar Bangle Mk. II armor at participating retailers. Its digital version, however, comes with the Moogle Trio Summoning Materia DLC, an in-game item.
Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's physical version comes with a Mini-soundtrack CD, artbook, and steelbook case. The digital version, on the other hand, comes with the physical version's offers (though in digital format) and digital DLC items, including the Magic Pot Summoning Materia, Reclaimant Choker accessory, and the Orchid Bracelet armor.
Gamers who wish to upgrade their standard digital pre-order to a digital Deluxe edition can do so for $20.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will launch on Feb. 29, 2024, for the PlayStation 5, but it will remain a PS5-exclusive game for only three months, as shown during the latest State of Play 2023, per IGN. The game is coming to other platforms starting May 29, 2024.
