Cult Classic Dreamcast Game Gets a Remake After 24 Years

ININ Games confirmed that Rainbow Cotton will be remastered and released to PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The game is planned to launch by Spring 2024 based on the trailer.

The trailer provided a sneak peek on the upcoming new features of remastered Rainbow Cotton. While the game retains its original charm and cuteness with colorful graphics, the gameplay has now adapted modern mechanics. For instance, the "Dedicated Retro Mode" will recreate the exact experience from the original game including the anime cutscenes.

On other aspects, fans can expect better graphics and improved effects that will boost the overall gaming experience. In addition, aesthetic upgrades has been included to appeal on the younger audience who was not able to discover the original game.
