Microsoft's Hints Possible Changes Amid Leaks

In an internal memo obtained by The Verge, Spencer clarified that most of the documents are "over a year old and our plans have evolve." This means that Microsoft might probably updated some of the plans as it gets nearer to the possible launch.

Spencer also released a statement on X saying that the company will share the "real plans" once they are ready. "It is hard to see our team's work shared in this way because so much has changed and there's so much to be excited about right now, and in the future," the Xbox chief wrote.

The full memo also promised that the team will learn from what happened and will keep it in mind on moving forward. They also admit that the leak was unexpected as the documents were only submitted in the court proceedings on the proposed Activision Blizzard Activision.

FTC v. Microsoft Leaks Documents

Among the leaked documents are the Xbox Series X redesign for 2024 which features a more circular shape compared to the current console, the new Xbox controller that supports cloud connection and Bluetooth 5.2.

In addition, plans for 2028 Xbox, the unannounced Bethesda games, and even the talks on acquiring Nintendo were all leaked. Nonetheless, Spencer assured that regardless of the leaks there are still so much more to be excited about Xbox's future plans.
