Starting October 5, streaming service Max will offer a live sports tier in the United States that will cost $9.99 per month.
Max's Bleacher Report Sports Add-On
The new add-on will give access to the live games from Major League Baseball (MLB), National Basketball Association (NBA), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and US Soccer. While the sports tier is advertised to cost $9.99 per month, existing Max subscribers can enjoy the tier for free until the end of February 2024.
On the other hand, cable networks under Warner Discovery such as TNT, TBS, and TruTV, will still air the games.
Aside from live broadcast of games, the sport tier will also broadcast from the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned sport outlet, Bleacher Report. Other selected live international sporting events and some extensive video-on-demand content will also be included in the add-on.
Other Streaming Apps Offer Sports
Aside from Max, other major streamers are now offering live sports to get more subscribers. Paramount Plus offers live football via CBS while Amazon Prime Video airs the Thursday Night Football.
Moreover, Apple launched its Major League Soccer season pass while football and soccer games are available on Peacock along with ESPN Plus by Disney.
