Verizon Moto X slashed to a penny in time for Christmas

If you're looking to use some of your Christmas money to upgrade your smartphone, Amazon is only asking for a penny for the Verizon Moto X.

When Motorola unveiled the Moto X, it showed off features that are exclusive to the first smartphone it developed with Google. To introduce the world to the Motorola that is now owned by Google, the Moto X needed to offer cool and unique functionality that makes it stand out from the crowd of Android smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One.

Motorola made the terms "contextually aware" a tagline for the Moto X. It's one the smartphone's defining features. The company has built special sensors inside the Moto X that are always listening for its owner's voice. Don't worry about this affecting battery life, Motorola is an expert when it comes to battery performance and the Moto X's large battery provides up to 13 hours of talk time and 10 days of standby time.

You can interact with the Moto X even while it is across the room and is asleep. Simply say the phrase, "Ok Google Now" and give it a command. The smartphone recognizes your voice, and it won't perform tasks given by others. You can ask the Moto X to check messages, set an alarm, obtain driving directions, the weather forecast, and more, without ever touching the Moto X. Those are only some of its many impressive features.

Amazon is offering a great deal on the Verizon Moto X and is charging just a penny when signing a new 2-year contract.
