Microsoft officially revealed the release date for the new Windows 11 update which features the "Everyday AI companion," Microsoft Copilot.

As part of the free update to Windows 11, users will have access to the early form of Copilot starting September 26. The feature will be available on Bing, Edge, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
The Copilot for Windows aims to give the users a more efficient and faster performance in completing tasks by decreasing the cognitive load of the user. The feature is strategically placed on the taskbar or by pressing Win + C keyboard shortcut, which can provide assistance while having a preview of all the apps.
Microsoft also assured that aside from better assistance, Copilot will also give more privacy and security to your work data. "We will continue to add capabilities and connections to Copilot across to our most-used applications over time in service of our vision to have one experience that works across your whole life," corporate VP and consumer marketing chief Yusuf Mehdi shared.
Windows 11 Update Comes With Over 150 Features
Aside from Copilot, other familiar features such as Paint, Photos, Snipping Tool, and more, are getting upgrades for the new Windows 11 update. For instance, Paint and Photos are now equipped with AI tools that will further enhance the content's quality.
In addition, Microsoft also announced new features for Bing and Edge that are also aligned with AI tools. This includes personalize answers, Copilot in Microsoft Shopping and more.
