The content creation giant made big announcements featuring new AI-powered tools during the annual Made on YouTube event.
Dream Screen and Editing Tool for YouTube Shorts
Following the success of YouTube Shorts, the platform announced a new experimental feature that will allow the creators to generated video or image backgrounds using a prompt. It seems that even the outer space is not a limit as you can try prompting a galaxy as your YouTube Shorts background.
"With Dream Screen, creators will be able to generate new, fantastic settings for their Shorts that are only limited by what they can imagine," VP for emerging experiences and community products on YouTube Toni Reid shared. The Dream Screen will begin testing later this year.
In addition, the platform will be launching a new editing app made solely for mobile creators called YouTube Create. The app is currently in beta for selected Android users. YouTube Create is a free app that is specifically designed to produce Shorts or longer video content through simpler and easier process.
The app can be used for trimming, auto captioning, and voiceover. YouTube Create also gives access to filters, effects, transitions, and royalty-free music with beat matching feature making it easier to use.
YouTube Launches AI-Tools for Engagement
On the other side of content creation, creators must also be equipped with right tools to know if they are reaching their audience enough or if their contents are gaining traction on the platform. YouTube Studio will be tapping generative AI to help the creators get ideas and draft outlines for their next projects.
According to YouTube, the company is current testing it with selected creators and has been getting positive feedback so far. Moreover, other AI tools concerning soundtracks and dubbing content will also be released next year.
