Apple Promises to Fix iPhone Overheating Bug

Apple finally addressed the recent customer complaints about iPhones overheating and has promised to fix it soon.

Apple Attributes Software-Related Bug for Overheating Issues

According to Apple, iPhones get warm during its first few days of usage as the device is working to set up and restore user's data. The company attributed its overheating issue to the latest iOS 17 software bug.

In addition, third-party apps are also to blame for overloading the system. Apple assured in a statement that the company will iron out the issues upon the release of a software update.

On the other hand, Apple denied claims that the issue lies on the hardware of the iPhone 15 Pro line. At its launch, iPhone 15 Pro line boasted a titanium frame and an A17 Pro chip that promised a smooth gaming activity. Some researchers have attributed these big changes to the overheating problem.

Apple Offers Solution to Overheating

Aside from pinpointing the factors attributed to heating, Apple said that the company is already working with some of the app developers that usually contributed the heat. Bloomberg reported that some users identified using Instagram and Uber got their devices heated.

The company is yet to announce the date on when the iOS 17 software update will drop or which version it will be. Last week, the company opened the beta version of iOS 17.1 to app developers that is set to release some time in October.
