Blizzard president Mike Ybarra revealed that Warcraft will be getting a lot of new stuff at the BlizzCon in November.
Warcraft Gets Major Updates
Ybarra announced the news on his X account that fans of World of Warcraft (WoW) have so much to anticipate at the upcoming event. This year's BlizzCon will be the first in-person convention of Blizzard since the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will take place on November 3 and 4 in Anaheim, California.
The Blizzard president revealed the news after a fan pointed out the small space allotted to WoW. The fan also made a case by saying that the small space can be discouraging for WoW players.
Game Rant reported that a new World of Warcraft expansion is surely on its way. Moreover, there is also some anticipation for an update with WoW Classic. While not much detail was given to the fans, Blizzard hopes that the assurance will be enough to entice players to join the convention.
BlizzCon 2023
Based on the official convention floorplan, Hearthstone has a new demo while Warcraft Rumble might be launched at the convention as well. In addition, Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 fans can look forward to more news during the BlizzCon as well. On the other hand, Starcraft fans might have to pass for now as the game does not appear to be joining this year's convention.
Blizzard is certainly under pressure to give its best on its first post-pandemic convention. Aside from that, the company has also been battling several lawsuits and controversies prior to the event. Fans will have to wait until next month to see if Blizzard will put a redemption arc with BlizzCon.
