With the reimagined Patreon, creators can make their own worlds by customizing how their Patreon page would look to their audience. Moreover, creators now have access to community insights, publishing, and commerce tools regardless of whether they want a paid membership or not.

Last July, Patreon introduced Commerce which is a new way for creators to sell individual videos, audio, and downloadable files to anyone, regardless of their membership. "Between ad revenue, brand partnerships, and platform funds, creators have more ways than ever to get paid, but most of those income streams don't come directly from fans," Patreon wrote.

Aside from these, Patreon also unveiled its new logo and wordmark which featured new approaches to typography, color, and even photography. The reimagined brand of the platform aims to fulfill its mission to continuously adapt to the evolving creator ownership landscape.

Patreon Bridges Gap Between Creators and Fans

In 2013, developer Sam Yam and musician Jack Conte created Patreon with the goal of getting creators paid. Within a decade of its run, the platform successfully managed to achieve that goal for its co-creators.

However, Patreon is more than just a paid partnership, the platform promotes community building among the creators and their fans. The company launched features such as real-time group chats, comments, DMs, and even email to help the creators connect deeply with their fans.

"It's creativity in context, the way creators intended," Patreon stated in a blog post.
