The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro is expected to be the company's largest tablet to date with a 12.2-inch display and a new report claims it will launch on AT&T.
Apple and Samsung have been rumored for months to be working on tablets with displays larger than 10-inches. Apple is reportedly working on an 'iPad Pro' that houses a 12.9-inch Retina display. Samsung has also been rumored to be developing a larger Galaxy Note tablet and has chosen to go with a 12.2-inch display. The device is expected to officially be named the Galaxy Note Pro when it's announced.
The always-reliable @evleaks has tweeted that the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro is headed to AT&T with the model number SM-P907A. Previous reports have claimed Samsung plans on launching the tablet in a Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 4G LTE model. It appears AT&T might get the exclusive on the Galaxy Note Pro 4G LTE model in the U.S., or at least get it first.
Sources claim the Galaxy Note Pro is expected to share very similar specs with the current Galaxy Note 10.1. The Galaxy Note Pro is expected to feature a 12.2-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 and run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box with Samsung's TouchWiz Nature UX running on top. The tablet will use a powerful 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM to keep provide a fast and fluid user interface.
The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is expected to ship in a Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE model. It is rumored to launch in three storage configurations - 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB - and include a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 64GB of additional memory. Samsung has reportedly added some new and enhanced features for its included S Pen stylus and a very large 9,500 mAh battery.
The tipster has an excellent track record with reporting unannounced devices and it seems very likely that AT&T will offer the Galaxy Note Pro. As with all unannounced devices, however, it's always best to take this report with a grain of salt.
