Final Fantasy 14 will be having its next Alliance, a third crossover with Final Fantasy 11 (FF 11). However, fans are assured that this will be a bigger event.
Crossover Between Final Fantasy 14 and 11
During the Fan Festival for Final Fantasy 14, it was revealed that a new raid series will be debuting. More importantly, it will allow players to get a glimpse of the world of FF 11 which is the original Final Fantasy MMO. What makes it more interesting is that it dates back over two decades of adventure.
For now, few details have been shared about the characters, bosses, and locations that will be featured. Players can expect the launch of the first raid in Downtrail Patch 7.1. Other updates might follow by Patch 7.3 and 7.5 respectively.
The upcoming crossover called "Echoes of Vana'diel" marked the third event between the two titles. Final Fantasy 14 first had a crossover with FF 11 back in 2014 with the event "Burgeoning Dread." Meanwhile, the "Maiden's Rhapsody" event was considered a larger crossover as a celebration for the FF11's final expansion.
Echoes of Vana'diel Promises Bigger Event
Fans are excited about the announcement of the event. More than their curiosity, fans are eager to see the promised content within the "Echoes of Vana'diel" as the developers promised larger and evergreen content.
Long-time fans of Final Fantasy who were able to play FF 11 might see this as an opportunity to play Final Fantasy 14 and explore how the Alliance raid will capture their hearts.
The Final Fantasy 14 is widely available on PC and PlayStation consoles. The Xbox Series X/S version is expected to launch in Spring 2024.
