Motorola revealed a new concept phone that featured a bendable phone display and can be wrapped around the wrist.
Motorola Shows Off New Display Concept
It is quite common for the Lenovo-owned brand to pop out concept phone displays every now and then. For a while, the world has seen various phone ideas from Motorola from foldable ones to rollable ones, but the company is not yet ready to stop innovating.
The new conceptual device uses an FHD+ pOLED display that allows it to be bent and shaped in various forms depending on the user's preferences. According to Motorola, the adaptive display concept was based on the mechanical innovations from the previous foldable and rollable devices of the company.
The device runs on a 6.9-inch display when laid flat but can be reformed in an upright position. The compact form features a 4.6-inch display. What makes it interesting is that users can wrap the device around their wrist with an internal display similar to the Motorola Razr+.
Motorola Invests on AI
Along with a brand new phone concept, the company also announced its AI endeavors such as generative theming and sophisticated personal assistant. "For years, Motorola has been at the forefront of innovation, and our commitment to bringing meaningful and thoughtful experiences to our consumers remains unwavering," the company wrote.
Motorola shared that they have developed a generative AI model that will allow users to personalize their phone based on their interests. For instance, they can upload or capture a photo of their outfit and the AI will generate images that reflect their style.
Meanwhile, the company's personal assistant for PCs and smartphones is called MotoAI. Users can engage with the assistant for queries, drafting messages, scheduling tasks, and more. However, MotoAI is still under development.
There are also other AI-related concepts such as the enhanced mobile document scanner, text summarization, and privacy content obfuscation. Meanwhile, Motorola promised that these concepts will "redefine consumers' daily experience" and that the company will continue to deliver innovative solutions.
