Apple TV+ to Produce 'Peanuts' Movie in 2024

Apple TV+ confirmed that a 'Peanuts' feature film from WildBrain and Peanuts Worldwide is slated to begin production in 2024.

Peanuts Gang Goes to Big City

The upcoming feature will follow Snoopy and Charlie Brown as they embark on an epic adventure to the Big City. As they go with their journey, fans can expect challenges as the duo learns the true meaning of friendship. Moreover, they will also meet new friends along the way.

Apple TV+ also revealed that the screenplay is co-written by Karey Kirkpatrick, who is known for writing "Chicken Run," "Small Foot," and "Over the Hedge." He will be joined by the team of Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano, who wrote "The Peanuts Movie." Meanwhile, Steve Martino and Bonnie Arnold will be directing the film.

Craig Schulz shared that the production of the film feels special as it will carry on his father's legacy. His team also expressed their excitement to work with Apple TV+ and WildBrain Studios to bring a brand-new Peanuts adventure. "Peanuts fans have been clamoring for another feature for years, and this film will bring joy to our millions of fans around the world," he added.

Apple TV+ Home of Peanuts Collections

Apple TV+ has been the home to several Peanut titles and has an award-winning collection of stories from "Snoopy and Friends." According to Apple's head of children's programming Tara Sorensen, fans of all ages have been entertained with Peanuts on their platform.

"We can't wait for everyone to experience this heartwarming new adventure with Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the gang in the Big City," Sorensen stated. Aside from Snoopy, Apple TV+ has been the home to several globally cherished animated characters.

The "Peanuts" feature film will be produced in partnership with WildBrain and Peanuts Worldwide. The production of the film will mark the first three-way partnership between the companies for a feature film.
