First images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo leak along with detailed specs and Antutu benchmark

New images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo have leaked, along with more details on the device's specs and Antutu benchmarks.

A recent report gave us many of the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 Neo's specs, features and design. The phablet has been designed to be a less expensive alternative to the flagship Galaxy Note 3.

SamMobile now has more detailed information about the Note 3 Neo's specs, Antutu benchmark score and it offers a look at the Galaxy Note 3 Neo next to the Galaxy Note 3 for the first time.

The images show that the Galaxy Note 3 Neo will be a little smaller than the Note 3 and feature the same design characteristics, including the same faux-leather removable backplate and serration pattern on its sides. Its S Pen is located in the same area as the Note 3 and its virtually identical except for its camera module and smaller size.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo will sport a 5.55-inch 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 256 pixels per inch (ppi). It will be offered in two variants, HSPA+ (SM-N750) and 4G LTE (SM-N7505). The Note 3 Neo will be powered by the industry's first hexa-core processor, which will use Samsung's own Exynos 5260 Hexa-Core processor with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) capabilities. The SoC uses two 1.7GHz cores and four 1.3GHz cores along with an ARM Mali-T624 graphics processing unit (GPU), allowing all 6-cores to be activated at the same time.

Its camera capabilities include an 8-megapixel rear camera that has the ability to record 1080p Full HD video and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing Full HD camera for video chat and selfies. The Note 3 Neo will ship with 16GB of internal storage, a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 64GB microSD cards for expandable storage, and 2GB of RAM. In terms of wireless connectivity, the phablet will use Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy), GPS, NFC, and an IR blaster to use with Samsung's WatchOn service. It will pack in a large 3,100 mAh removable battery.

When it comes to software, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo will ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and TouchWiz Nature UX. The site claims that the Note 3 Neo will not use Samsung's new Magazine UX used in the Galaxy Note 3 and some of its latest tablets out of the gate, but could get it when Samsung releases an expected Android 4.4 KitKat software update. It will use the same S Pen features currently found on the Galaxy Note 3, which include Air Command, Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Write, S Finder, Multi Window, Easy Clip, and Direct Pen Input.

The Antutu benchmarks give the Galaxy Note 3 Neo a very respectable 29K+ points, which places it behind the Galaxy Note 3 and ahead of the Galaxy S4. The site goes on to say the Galaxy Note 3 Neo will make its debut at Mobile World Congress 2014 in February, which matches previous reports.
