Verizon Moto X now on sale for a penny

You can now order the Verizon Moto X from Amazon for a penny when signing a new 2-year contract.

Leading up to its official unveiling, the Moto X was rumored to be coming with contextually aware features. When Motorola finally showed off the Moto X to the world it also explained how the smartphone's much talked about contextually aware features would work and how it would make your life simpler. Motorola built special sensors into the Moto X that allow the handset to learn and always be listening for its owner's voice. The smartphone only learns your voice, so you don't need to worry about it carrying out commands issued by someone other than you. Even if the Moto X's display is off and the smartphone's asleep, when it hears your voice and a command it will automatically wake and spring into action.

You can use your voice to make the Moto X work for you. You can ask what the weather is, so you'll know how to dress and whether you should take an umbrella with you. You can fly through your to-do list without ever touching the smartphone. It also has a cool gesture that will automatically open the camera app when you twist your wrist twice. It also takes the guesswork out of determining if you have a new message by using its Active Display feature, which shows you any new notifications on its display with corresponding icons while its display is off. Those are just some of the Moto X's contextually aware features.

Amazon is now offering the Verizon Moto X for a penny when signing a new 2-year contract with the carrier.
