Facebook owner Meta finally removed Threads' posts randomly popping up on the Facebook and Instagram timelines.
The latest Threads app now allows users to opt out of having their posts shown on other platforms after some backlash in the past weeks.
Threads users can access the new feature by tapping the two lines seen in the top right of the app. Select the Privacy settings, then go Suggesting posts on other apps option to switch off the annoying feature.

According to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the Threads app currently has over 100 million monthly users, a little lower than the half a billion people on its rival X (formerly Twitter).
'Twitter-killer' Threads Posts on Facebook, Instagram Issue
Meta received complaints from users after Threads posts were seen to appear on Facebook and Instagram timelines.
The feature was added to "make it easier for people to see the latest content" on Meta's other platforms.
The social media giant has been known to promote new features and products on its other apps in the past. Instagram Reels can be seen on Facebook, while WhatsApp can be used to buy space for Facebook Ads.
Users have complained Meta's decision only risks alienating people as each application has its distinct audience.
Meta affirmed that it remains open for feedback regarding future feature updates.
The Threads feature was added after the app's less-than-stellar public reception after its initial release hype as an alternative to Twitter.
Threads App Current Status, Updates, and Improvements
After reports of users cut in half after its first month, Zuckerberg said the app has still enough fire to get to its "final form."
"I'm highly confident that we're gonna be able to pour enough gasoline on this to help it grow," Zuckerberg commented.
Threads has since released major updates to the social media platform, including a web version, voice posts, and the ability to edit posts. An entire team of 50 is working to continuously improve the app.
In October, reports indicated Threads had 33 million daily users with the usage drop lowered to 28% from 78% in July.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk's X continues to drop on a steep hill with usage and downloads on a significant downtrend.
