After months of delay, Hogwarts Legacy is now available on Nintendo Switch albeit with a few caveats.
Many fans were shocked to see that the open-world feature in the original version was removed when ported to Switch.
The wide Wizarding World of Hogwarts is now interconnected via loading screens in each area à la Bethesda. Each loading screen takes "30 to 50 seconds" before showing the area.
The game's graphics also took a massive downgrade as the 1440p 60fps resolution is lowered to the 1080p 30fps standard Switch graphics.
Other ported PC and modern generation console games received a similar treatment as Switch still depends on a six-year-old mobile technology.
Otherwise, Hogwarts Legacy plays with relative ease without many glitches and bugs that previously plagued Pokemon: Scarlet and Violet.
