The tech giant will help teenagers, particularly students, through its vast language model in composing tips or suggesting ideas to try. They just need to ask.

The Bard AI is also expected to be a helpful learning tool for teenagers "to dig deeper into topics, better understand complex concepts, and practice new skills in ways that work best for them."

Google has consulted with child safety and development experts to ensure that the AI will have no negative impacts on the teens' growth.

Earlier test runs from teenagers to confirm the AI's limits in discussing inappropriate topics with younger users and implemented safety features to prevent access to unsafe content.

Teenagers who meet the minimum age requirement can use the chatbot in countries where the AI is available.

How to Sign Up for Bard AI

Teenagers who have their own personal Google Account or Google Workspace account are eligible to access the AI. As long as their administrators enabled the access.

Bard cannot be accessed via a Google Account managed by Family Link or with a Google Workspace for Education account.

Google Bard AI: A Step Towards Personal Assistant

Google debuted Bard AI this March designed to provide more natural language queries rather than rely on keywords for searching.

The chatbot is built on the Pathways Language Model 2 (PaLM 2).

DeepMind AI, another language model Google invested in, is expected to boost the chatbot's performance once integrated.

Bard AI remains in its experimental phase until full integration into Google's search engine.
