Amazon Braket Direct Program

During the re: Invent 2023 conference, AWS introduced a new way for researchers under enterprises to get private access to various quantum processing units without having to wait. Moreover, the program will also provide the customers an option to get expert guidance from the AWS team of quantum computing specialists.

Researchers will also have early access to features and devices that are currently on limited availability for their cutting-edge research. The Bracket Direct is now available for machines on IonQ Aria, QuEra Aquila, and Rigetti Aspen-M-3 devices.

Interested enterprises can run their most complex and time-sensitive workloads through the program. They can also conduct live events such as training, workshops, and hackathons.

How to Use Amazon Braket Direct

To request a reservation, researchers must provide their basic contact information, desired schedule, length, relevant constraints, and workloads. A one-on-one conversation with an expert can be reserved as well with no additional cost. The request will take two to three business days to process before receiving a verification.

Starting today, researchers can get reservation-only access to IonQ's highest-fidelity Forter QPU. However, due to its limited availability, the device is only available through Braket Direct reservations.

The IONQ is reportedly priced at $7,000 per hour while the QuEra Aquila costs $2,500 per hour. On the other hand, the Aspen-M-3 is priced at $3,000 per hour.
