Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo press images leak as retaier gets ready to take pre-orders

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo could be officially announced very soon, as press images have surfaced reportedly from a retailer that is preparing to open up pre-orders.

Over the last few weeks we've heard the reported specs and seen some leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo. Samsung hasn't officially announced the smartphone, but is believed to be a less expensive alternative to its flagship Galaxy Note 3. Many reports have claimed that Samsung was going to announce the smartphone at Mobile World Congress in February. If a new report is accurate, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo will be announced very soon and at least one retailer has already prepared a pre-order page for the phablet.

SamMobile is reporting that a worker for a Belgian retailer has informed the site that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo's pre-order page is set to go up soon, though it's not visible to customers yet. The tipster sent in what seem to be official press images of Samsung's upcoming smartphone and revealed that the pre-order price is listed as €599. The listed price is likely just a placeholder, since the Note 3 Neo is supposed to be a less expensive Galaxy Note 3.

As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo will feature a 5.55-inch 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 256 pixels per inch (ppi). It will ship with 2GB of RAM and will be powered by a Samsung Exynos Hexa-Core processor. The new processor uses two 1.7GHz cores and four 1.3GHz cores, which allows all 6-cores to be activated at the same time, resulting in high speed processing with power saving capabilities.

Samsung will reportedly use an 8-megapixel rear camera that will support recording 1080p Full HD video and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing Full HD camera for video chat. The Galaxy Note 3 Neo is expected to ship with 16GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 64GB microSD cards. Its wireless connectivity options will consist of a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy), NFC, GPS, and an IR blaster to control televisions (similar to the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3). The phablet will ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Samsung's TouchWiz UI, and it will also use a large 3,100 mAh removable battery. It will include enhanced S Pen functionality, with the same features found in the high-end Galaxy Note 3.

It's always best to take rumored release date reports with a grain of salt, but we'll be sure to keep you posted on any new Galaxy Note 3 Neo information as it becomes available.
