Sorry, U.S. and UK, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo not available for you

We don't like to be the bearer of bad news, but Samsung has confirmed that its less expensive Galaxy Note 3 Neo will not make it to the U.S. or UK.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo has been making news headlines on an almost daily basis and many people were looking forward to getting their hands on a budget Galaxy Note 3. Samsung has finally confirmed the phablet's existence, but the company also revealed that it will not be launching the smartphone in the U.S. or the UK.

Android Central was the first to report that the Galaxy Note 3 Neo will not launch in the UK. The site received a short and straight to the point statement from Samsung UK, which reads: "Samsung UK can confirm that the Note 3 Neo will not be coming to the UK market." The UK market isn't the only one to face this decision.

Engadget is also reporting that a Samsung representative informed the site that the Galaxy Note 3 Neo will not be released in the U.S., saying it will only arrive in "select countries/regions."

As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo will sport a 5.55-inch 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 256 pixels per inch (ppi). The Note 3 Neo will be powered by the industry's first hexa-core processor, which will use Samsung's own Exynos 5260 Hexa-Core processor with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) capabilities. The SoC uses two 1.7GHz cores and four 1.3GHz cores along with an ARM Mali-T624 graphics processing unit (GPU), allowing all 6-cores to be activated at the same time.

Its camera capabilities include an 8-megapixel rear camera that has the ability to record 1080p Full HD video and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing Full HD camera for video chat and selfies. The Note 3 Neo will ship with 16GB of internal storage, a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 64GB microSD cards for expandable storage, and 2GB of RAM. In terms of wireless connectivity, the phablet will use Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy), GPS, NFC, and an IR blaster to use with Samsung's WatchOn service. It will also pack in a large 3,100 mAh removable battery.

If you had your heart set on a Galaxy Note 3 Neo, you can still pick up an inexpensive Galaxy Note 2, which basically has the same features and still receives Android updates from Samsung.
