TikTok follows closely at 63% with Snapchat and Instagram at close with 60% and 59% respectively. Results have also shown that apps are more common in teens aged 15 to 17.

Surprisingly, Facebook and X (formerly known as Twitter) which once dominated the social media landscape have seen a continuous downtrend over the past decade.

Many of the teens asked use these platforms daily or nine-in-ten says they access the internet every day.

The survey was conducted from Sept. 26 to Oct. 23 with 1,453 respondents aged 13 to 17.

In terms of race, Black teens are more likely to use TikTok and X, while WhatsApp is more common among Hispanics.

The only different survey results were found in social media usage concerning the teen's household income.
