Max Confirms Release Date for 'Rick and Morty' Season 7

The much-awaited release of the seventh season of "Rick and Morty" is finally arriving to Max on January 22, after the airing of the last episode on Adult Swim.

'Rick and Morty' Season 7 Welcomes New Cast

Last October, it was revealed that Ian Cardoni would be voicing the titular character Rick Sanchez. Meanwhile, Harry Belden became the new voice for Morty Smith. Both actors were welcomed after Justin Roiland was replaced.

As the seventh season premieres on Adult Swim, fans see how Rick and Morty embark on their multiverse travel. They also have to confront the dark mysteries of the past as they continue the quirky adventures that they are known for.

Both actors received good feedback from the fans after the first episode premiered on Adult Swim. Since October 15, a new episode every Sunday was released on the platform as other fans wait for it to land on other platforms.

'Rick and Morty' Season 7 Plot

Since the season is already over in the Adult Swim, there is nothing to spoil here anymore. The main arc of the seventh season focused on Rick's agenda to find who was responsible for the death of his original family.

Previously, showrunners Dan Harmon and Roiland created a backstory for Rick that involved an alternate version of him killing his original family. The show also made it clear that the scenario did happen and has led to Rick's obsession to find the killer.

Although Rick has been enjoying spending time with Morty's family, he still sought Morty's help to solve his mysterious past. During the season, fans were taken to a new set of adventures as the duo took on a new mission.

Cardoni and Belden are set to reprise their roles for the upcoming seasons of the show. There is still much to expect from the series after the production received a 70-episode renewal in 2018.
